The initial vision was that Macromex to became a market leader on the segment of national distribution of frozen and refrigerated food products, on the logistics segment, a basis of the company’s infrastructure. Additional medium- and long-term strategies aiming at introducing and imposing the brands on the local market were chosen.
When we founded Macromex, in 1993, it was a time when Romania was struggling to find its way to democracy and to a true market economy. At this crucial moment for the local economy, we decided to become a distribution company at the national level, but also the reliable partner of some of the most important multinational companies.
Therefore, we worked hard and we succeeded to create a unique infrastructure on the Romanian market, to provide high-performance services, signing many contracts with important suppliers. Thus, we became right from the begining a leader of the internal market.
At this moment, Macromex has seven branches strategically located in the most important economic centers of the country, each of them benefiting from its own infrastructure. Also, each one of the seven branches is interconnected through a state-of-the-art communication system, based on efficiently implemented advanced technologies.
