600 hot meals prepared for vulnerable people
Bucharest, May 23, 2025 – Macromex, a leader in the Romanian food industry, marked a new stage in the volunteer program “Feeding the Good Together”, carried out in partnership with Social Food – the initiative coordinated by chef Adrian Hădean. The action took place at the OMINIS Social Canteen in Bucharest, where the Macromex team prepared with Edenia products and served over 600 hot meals for people in need.
The Social Food program, which began in 2020 with the mission of providing a hot meal to those in need, has provided over 1.3 million servings of hot food to date, and Macromex is the main supporter of this program. The “Feeding the Good Together” initiative brought together volunteers from several departments of the company, supported by David Popovici, Olympic and world swimming champion.
The presence of David Popovici – a symbol of determination and excellence – brought an extra dose of energy and inspiration, reflecting the values that define Macromex: involvement, performance and responsibility. “It is good to remember, at least from time to time, that performance is not measured only in medals, but also in good deeds. I feel grateful to be part of this initiative because when we offer a meal, we do not just offer food. We offer a chance”, said the Olympic champion from Paris.
